And a good time it was too! With the ears ringing from the screams of very satisfied women (and men) the old blue boys danced, grinded and chopped their way into the hearts of those present and helped the club to yet another hugely successful event.

Houston native Taku Ngwenya was all over the pitch in more than 80 minutes of gameplay in the team's first action of 2016, and was one of four try-scorers for Mitchell's side as the U.S. scored 35 points for the first time against a non-Canadian team since 2012. Matyas, Hume and Bird make Eagles rugby championship roster

A big congrats to Old Blue boys Ryan Matyas, Luke Hume and Fly half James Bird for making the 35 man Roster for the Rugby Championship.

BOULDER, Colo. – Men's Eagles coach John Mitchell will have a mix of veterans and youngsters in his first assembly with the national team, as 37 athletes have been made available for the inaugural Americas Rugby Championship.

Longtime U.S. captain Todd Clever returns to the fold with fellow Newcastle Falcon Eric Fry, while Cam Dolan, Taku Ngwenya, Greg Peterson, and Blaine Scully have also been released from their respective professional overseas clubs for at least one match of the groundbreaking competition. Each will be in Houston for the opening round of the tournament Saturday, Feb. 5, at BBVA Compass Stadium.

BOULDER, Colo. – Men's Eagles coach John Mitchell will be flanked by professional internationals Phil Greening, Rob Hoadley, and Marty Veale during the inaugural Americas Rugby Championship competition this February and March.

The new Eagles lead man was appointed to the position at the beginning of the calendar year and will lead the program through the Rugby World Cup 2019 cycle, beginning with five matches against North and South American competition. The U.S. hosts Argentina, Canada, and Chile at home before traveling across the equator for matches against Brazil and Uruguay...
